Anarchaeologist: Archaeodeath - Discussing the Pestiferous

In Episode 18 des Podcasts "Anarchaeologist" wird Prof. Howard Williams von der University of Chester interviewt, der in seinem Blog "Archaeodeath" über verschiedene Aspekte des Todes in der Archäologie berichtet. (1:09:13)

Today we go into the depths of death, to the bottom of the pit to discover the man behind the blog Archaeodeath. Today's guest is Proffessor Howard Williams of the University of Chester, England; in this episode we discuss what death means in archaeology and what is special about the specialisation Mortaury Archaeology. Despite this morbid topic, we have a wonderful chat about comedy, humour and not being super serious all the time (in fact sometimes it pays to be funny). We also discuss cemetaries in the UK and abroad and how to deal with what people think of the places of the dead.

We also talk about who can speak out and what it means to make offence as a Professor in a University and as a young career archaeologist and how we can deal with it.

I discuss how metal and archaeology can come together and what the best rap battle between archaeologists could be.
