Since the Thracians were most famous for their horses, this torch-race on horseback was probably their responsibility. In this torch-race the Thracians could –or rather should– demonstrate their ethnic [...] the two front men because they were the trainers of the winning team, standing behind them, of the torch-race on horseback during the Bendideia.
